"Don't worry about what the world has enough of, worry about what inspires you."

I started this blog because travel truly inspires me, and I hope to inspire others. Not in a "be like me" inspiring, but in a "realize the wonders the world and mankind have to offer." I also want to provide an authentic review of the places I've been and my experiences, with the hopes of helping you make the most informed choices should you choose to replicate any of my trips. Lastly, I want to inspire by giving ideas for traveling. Some of my trips are to less-visited places while some are to "over touristed" sites, but they will always have my unique perspective.

So, what is my perspective? I am a black queer woman. At the time of this writing, in my early 40s. I work full-time as a physician. Childless. Single. From and resides in Chicago.

No one identity defines me ultimately or dictates how and where I choose to travel, but they all combine to help form a collective perspective as I visit the world.

It's also essential to know how I prefer to travel. My travel style is generally premium or luxury accommodations. For me, the experience is often just as important as the destination.

Another essential factor to know is how I chose the length of my vacations. My job has a schedule of seven days working and seven days off. So, I generally travel for seven days (plus or minus) at a time. My reviews are usually high-yield and by no means all-inclusive.

I love my job (as a physician), and I like the work-life balance I've carved out. I wouldn't want to leave my job to travel, or the opposite solely. My job keeps me grounded and is a constant reminder to live life to the fullest.

I'm not beholden to any sponsor. If at any time I am sponsored, I will always disclose it.

I say all of this to provide full transparency and context. When traveling, there are facts, and there are opinions. Having an idea of who I am will help you understand my views better and, more importantly, decide if this site is right for you.
